Clariphonic

The Ensemble

The Clariphonic Clarinet Ensemble was founded by Shaun Guzmán and is our student-based chamber ensemble for clarinetists in the San Antonio metro area.

This student based clarinet ensemble has changed throughout the years. Starting off as the Monticello Clarinet Choir to Hashtag Flats (#bbbb) and finally the Clariphonic Clarinet Ensemble. This musical outlet offers challenging music, ensemble building/blending, developing young musicians ears, and encourages clarinet camaraderie within the studio. We also offer fellow clarinet choir enthusiasts to join our ensemble!

We recently performed a small concert at High School Music Service at Alamo Ranch on 3 June 2023. We will return to regular rehearsals this coming October for the holiday season–stay tuned!

The Collaborative

The Clariphonic Collaborative is a platform to help guide and educate musicians and teachers of the inner workings of playing the clarinet, general pedagogy, and further exploration.

We are educators from various backgrounds, disciplines, and pedagogical philosophies that aim to provide all educators with information, resources, tips, and tricks to further the exponential growth of clarinet students in our area and strengthen our clarinet community.
